The 1997 Bowman Chrome Baseball card set is a diverse set as it hass one of the best selections of rookie cards from Bowman baseball cards in the 1990's. Per Beckett's price guide, there are eight rookie cards that are worth at least $8. These includes rookie baseball cards of Aramis Ramirez, Adrian Beltre, Kerry Wood, Eric Chavez, Roy Halladay, Miguel Tejada, Vernon Wells, and Lance Berkman. The rookie selection also includes others such as Jon Garland, Jacque Jones, and many others. The complete set books at about $150 and one can be found likely at around $50 to $75 on Ebay. Wax boxes and jumbo boxes are fun to open.  I had a jumbo box of packs that I opened, and each jumbo pack had about 20 cards in it (but these were from 1993 Bowman).  It was a great opportunity to score some of the best cards in the set, though my particular box was disappointing.  Some boxes though, can turn out quite the opposite. The complete set of 1997 Bowman Chrome only has 300 cards, so boxes can yield quite a few of each player in some instances.
